World renowned concert pianist Mia Nox has it all including a young brazen lover… until a paralyzing accident shatters her dreams into fragments of her deepest fears.

"In September '22, I fractured my T-12 vertebrae in six places due to a debilitating accident and just three months after meeting the love of my life. "Noxturne" is inspired by my accident and subsequent recovery, including the emotional shock of going from a super passionate relationship to one in which a man almost a decade my junior was taking care of me. The emotional toll it took on us both was fodder for the nightmares cinema is made of.

I have always been an avid dreamer and often lucid dream. As I was going through my recovery, I felt there was a fine line between reality and dream.  With so much time on my hands, much of it spent in bed, I often felt I was daydreaming.

"Noxturne" incorporates the magical realism of the dreamworld into its tale of piano keys, guitar strings, and broken hearts. Because Roman always refers to Mia as his “goddess” we are also transported into a world of mythology; one in which lessons are learned, morals are questioned, and one in which NOX, Goddess of the Night and Mother of Dreams, is the final victor. With the visuals of a psychological thriller, the naturalistic acting of a romantic drama, and sound design of a horror film, "Noxturne" will be a genre-bending experience.  Inspired by the works of Buñuel and Borges, Black Swan, The Piano Teacher, and Sudden Fear, this film will make audiences understand what it really feels like to go from being in complete control to finding oneself at the precipice of losing it all."
